I like vista, and I am not ashamed to say it. I like it, and I would NEVER downgrade to XP. Now, I only started running it just before SP2 came out, so I did not run it when it just came out, which I bet it it was rather bad, but to be fair, so was XP (even worse though, because it was the first time home users use the NT kernal) and OS X (yeah, read about it....it was crap when it came out). So, before everybody hate vista forever, have you tried to run it? I mean, with an open mind? Sure, it has problems, but so do all operating systems. Just try it, and think; does this make me want to kill people? Vista did not for me, so, you all must be doing something wrong. Maybe your computer is old and crap. I have 4 GB's of ram, and it runs well. ALthough, I have had a few issues (wmp11 doesn't like DVD's, and startup is having a few issues, for some reason its getting slower.....maybe its that third party defrager, maybe), the overall experience is a good one. ANd from what I hear, 7 is just more of the good, which is going to be amazing, I bet.
Oh, and another thing that bothers me; comparing vista to ME. As someone who ran ME for 6 years (most of XP's life), vista is no where nearly as bad as ME was. ME had memory problems, slow, buggy, and nothing ran on it. There was not iTunes for WinME. I will only listen to people who say Vista is like ME if they can describe ME to me in detail of why they hate it. Did rundll.exe ever die on you? Did you have have random slowdown? Did you run iTunes? So, don't tell me Vista is the same as ME, because from a person who ran both, I can safely say, its not.
......Stupid internet.......
