Because I have a blog, and because I have opinions, I feel like sharing them with you, because the internet needs more people to share their opinions, especially the crazy ones. The internet doesn’t have enough crazy people.
So, the PlayStation Move and the Xbox thing were announced at E3 a little while back. Here is my response to them; Ok, how’s Gears of War 3 coming along? I don’t really care. If I wanted to get exercise, I would get a WII, or overcome my fear of bees. But, I don’t have a job so I can’t get a WII, and I will always be afraid of bees, and I still don’t want these new things. I enjoy sitting. It’s one of my favorite activities, right up there with pizza, and girls, and I don’t want people messing with my video games, like Nintendo did. Nintendo did a massive shift toward the motion control, and may their deity bless them for it, because apparently the Game Cube failed (oh?), and if they did not change, they would have died. Microsoft does not make money off of the Xbox, nor does Sony off of the PlayStation, so Nintendo needed to change the game, and change it they did.
Nintendo does only motion control, and they paid the price for that from the hard core (or normal) gamers (kind of). Microsoft and Sony, on the other hand, have normal controllers for their systems. Now, one may say “Hey, there are the classic controller and the Game Cube controller!” Well, only SOME games are COMPADIBLE with those, and you still have the option to use the Wii-mote. With the Xbox and PS3, you HAVE to use the controllers to play the games, and not move around. The new move and other thing are not changing the way your play ALL Xbox and PS3 games, just the ones developed for those new devices. If you don’t want to get them but still want to play most of the Xbox/PS3 games, you still can (I say most, as a few games will require the movement things). With the WII, you have to use the Wii-mote to play. That’s the difference, the WII needs that special controller, but the Xbox 360 and PS3 don’t NEED them.
