As a user of windows 7, and windows vista, I think this allows me to look back upon vista and other windows and tell you all about it. Why you ask? Because I have a blog and you are reading it, so there!!! The joke is on you!!!
Anyways; I used windows Vista for about 6 months before 7 came out, and I had a good time with it. I wouldn't say it was fun to use, but it certainly wasn't painful, I would say. Vista allowed me to do things I wanted to do, as all operating system should do! The point of a computer is not to use the computer, but to do something! But, thats a story for another day.
Is windows 7 better than vista? yes, yes it is. Does that mean vista was crap? No, 7 gained from the experience that Vista had developed; people now developed for a new operating system, had new drivers, and Vista laid the ground work for the future. Its like windows 95: it was ok, but 98SE was kick ass! Maybe 98 normal was too, but I'm not too sure about that one.
It still bothers me that people compare windows vista to ME. Did those people run ME? I did, and vista, and I've got to tell you, at the point I ran vista in its life, it was nothing like ME, and ME never got better. Maybe the start of Vista's live was like ME, but not the end of its shelf life.
