I like the ubuntu; I think its a good OS, but has a few issues. Installing openoffice.org is the most annoying thing EVAR!! I had some trouble getting it to install on my 8.04.3. I downloaded it ,and tryied to install it, but it did not install. I tried to remove 2.4, and that was hard/did not work. Eventuailly, I had to remove openoffice.org completly (using a command not found in the crappy readme) and then install it using the downloaded file. It did not say how to do that in the read me. If it did, then I could not complain, but the readme did not say anything useful as to install it. Thats what annoys me. Also how 9.04 does not support my graphic device. But to be fair, neither does 7, but vista does.........Oh well.
Its a good OS, but has some issues. I think they need to help the normal people figure out how to install new things. 8.04 should be able to get openoffice 3.1 with little input (besides activating the update, which is ok). And firefox. I had to install swiftfox, because I could not figure out how to get the ff3.5 installed.
