I don’t rather like BF:BC 2

I recently bought Battlefield: bad company 2 off of STEAM during their sale, and I ‘ve got to say, I don’t actually like it that much. The game runs some what poorly on my moderate gaming PC (ATI visionteck 4550, x4 @1.8). But really, the frame rate really only drops when I have stuff exploding on screen, which I’ve got to say, is most of the time. There is so much dust, and so much exploding, its madness. The plot of the single player is meh at best; evil Russians are trying to take over the world, and they have some super weapons. And, I keep on traveling around. Its madness! Also, I have the game on normal, and I keep on dying! Now, I like to think I’m a rather good video game player, but it takes about 10-15 tries to get past a mission, which is annoying to no end. The only way to advance is to stay behind cover ALL THE TIME and slowly shoot the guys and hope some of your bullets hit them. This is a very slow and time consuming procedure. Maybe its easier on easy setting, but you have to select that at the start of your campaign, and you can’t change it.

So, single player is meh, but what about multiplayer? Well, that’s annoying too. I tried it for a while, and I have two big issues;

1) Auto match making barely works. About half the time I end up on a server with nobody on it, or one other. Some times it does work, but most often it does not.

2) Its rather hard to find people. I run around the map for a few minutes, and sometime I find people, and then they kill me with some super gun I don’t have. Well, match making sever, why don’t you put me in a server that is close to my skill level instead of really high ranking people? Isn’t that part of the point of having a ranking system? Also, how about you help me find people by haivng them show up a little easier on my screen. Maybe if they had a little marker over their heads when they got some what, or really, close to me, or started shooting at me. Maybe then you could make that map useful as well.

It just seems like a very touchy game, and if you are into that, good for you. I’m going back to GTA3.
